Brickwork / Blockwork
You can treat any brickwork or blockwork the same. You have 2 choices, acrylic render or sand and cement. Acrylic renders are superior to sand and cement site mix as they are quicker to apply, are cleaner on site and have a curing time of 48hrs before paint or texture application (vs. 28 days for sand & cement). Acrylic renders are also water repellent reducing the risk of efflorescence or rising damp. We recommend applying one or two coats of acrylic render.
